Have you listened to top 40 radio lately?  Thats what people want.  Outside of Clarity, Radioactive, and Applause it's pretty dismal.

why are people confused about a generic pop song being more successful than somewhat-less generic pop song by Lady Gaga? This is the Top 40 we're talking about, since when was it about experimentation? There's a plethora of music outside pop if you're looking for something different.

@mitchel why is it sad? Why every decade do ppl criticise mainstream as less quality than the rest?

I for one love the current generic edm thing going on in top 40 and leasten to little else!

Whats the problem?
