Raikov 183 Posted June 11, 2013 Share Posted June 11, 2013 wut? anyone who says Ceremonials is poorly written is...confused. lol i'm sorry, but the entire album is so profound and poetic. you're going to have to explain what you mean xD I don't listen for lyrics; I listen for music. Â Lungs felt so much more varied and dynamic. The first half of that album is marvelous. Ceremonials I can barely remember what any of the songs sound like. I like "What The Water Gave Me" and "Spectrum." Believe me, I've been listening to it because IÂ want to like it. However, I think Lungs was just brilliant and did the whole grandiosity thing so much better with Dog Days, Rabbit Heart, and Drumming Song. Songs with excellent lyrics (especially Rabbit Heart) but with strong melodies! Â I too am curious as to what their third album will be like. They already went the "big and loud" route with Ceremonials. Maybe they'll do stuff in the style of "Girl With One Eye" and "Kiss With A Fist," rock and bluesy stuff. Maybe not. Like an acoustic album--some songs just guitar and/or piano and/or harp, some with electric guitar. It's be BRILLIANT. She can't do another ceremonials, even if it is an amazing album.
