It's interesting to see that her album with variants sold 4M copies and this deluxe version without variants sells 150K. Of course a new album and a deluxe version are different but such a huge gap is still interesting.

I'm quite sure that without 40 variants her numbers would be more in the range of other popular artists, a bit more maybe but not such a huge gap.

The Life of a Showgirl had 522K units from streaming alone (it would be about 680K now since Billboard changed its rules), other artists can’t reach those numbers even with physical sales

I think that with or without Lana, the original record would still be buoyed from their huge singles and just how omnipresent she is. I love her so much, and I love that the record is still reaching some audience in today's fractured cultural landscape.
