She is almost certainly contractually obligated to do press. It's standard with movie contracts.

She was probably locked into strict contracts that she couldn't get out of. Her name and image are the main promotional drive for the film. The film people wouldn't let her sign on without insane legal contracts demanding she do press

The cancellation of her public engagements was highly publicized

This upcoming press tour for this dumb movie is going to be highly publicized (mostly around her)

Her "break" after that will be short-lived

Her tumultuous relationship/eventual break-up will be highly publicized (regardless of her being "in the public eye" at the moment or not)

Her next album (about all of the carefully-coordinated bullshit in her life lately) will be highly publicized

& we must suffer through all of it because, yes, she is being forced down our throats
