I believe they now only count the sales of up to the first 4 variants and those variants need to have enough variation for them to count. That’s why Taylor does limited time releases like 24 hour exclusive because she can get around the 4 variant limit because there’s no continuous sales of 4 initial variants. It’s a loophole. It’s also why people do different covers and add in merch for bundles now because it gives them enough variation to be counted.

3 albums does not a legend make. her albums are also fairly mid so eventually that will probably dry up tbh. billie eilish is way more successful imo and even she is still struggling with the ratrace. just because she's famous doesn't mean she's got the same level of power or influence as taylor swift. use your critical thinking skills

Using critical thinking skill should be applied by yourself. Using the word "emerging" when an artist is no longer one, regardless of your reasoning, which fairly got nothing to do with anything related being emerging, is very..., uneducated. It's like throwing all kind of jargon to sound smart when not really so. It's very derivative.

The main difference, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that each variant is still the same album. She's not adding one or two "new" songs or versions of songs to each one and making that the only way to have those songs.
