you threw me like a toy.

Put me in a box

Ok but Carolina and Safe and Sound are top-tier soundtrack nominees. They're both so good

I agree and I think Beautiful Ghosts was good too. But she wins in so many respects: charts, sales, touring, awards, the whole lot. She is the biggest artist in the world and will probably stay that way for a long time. When you're that successful, especially through ultimate greed, you don't deserve Oscar glory as well. She really believes that she's deserving of all this so to see her get snubbed again and again is delicious. She's like this generation's Madonna in that regard. Madonna also made songs for movies that could've been Oscar nominated and even went as far as trying to get writing credits on the track that Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice wrote for her (but they refused and the song got nominated and won without her involvement) and Masterpiece missed the criteria for nomination because it was too late in the end credits. I feel a bit sorry for her for constantly missing out but again, she's literally Madonna. She doesn't need an Oscar.
