She makes some valid points but her tone was a bit harsh and cocky. Madonna’s album output since 2008 has not been on par with her iconic legacy. There were some bold swings with Madame X though. 
 

As for Linda Perry being a one-hit wonder…yeah, no. “Beautiful”, “Candyman”, “Hurt”, “Get The Party Started”, “What You Waiting For?” are pretty iconic songs.

She has a terrible way of getting her points across but she’s not wrong. Madame X was a step in the right direction but the features and some of the sounds were certainly still chasing for top 40 recognition. 

She definitely wanted that with the Sabrina collab but Confessions II overall seems like Madonna is in the saddle for the first time since MDNA

That’s like saying Bonnie McKee is a complete failure because none of her own songs were hits (oh wait, people do say that).

Yeah, this would be like saying MM has no hits because he’s never released a hit song as a solo artist lmao. If anything, Linda having hit songs as a songwriter and a hit as a vocalist is actually more impressive because many songwriters don’t have the pipes or stage presence for that

Madonna has “swag,” meanwhile her discog has been almost straight a$$ for about 20 years 😭 and I say that as a fan
