I used to love Lana’s old aesthetic of making things feel cinematic and romantic. It’s such a shame it all turned out to be a gimmick because sis hasn’t made a single decent song outside of Black Beauty since Paradise

I get that it’s different strokes for different folks, but I honestly think, as entire bodies of work, almost all of her best work is post BTD/Paradise. BTD is kept afloat by the singles, Paradise on the whole is more consistent, but UV as an album clears both, imo (same with NFR and Ocean Blvd).

I find the odd song and moment enjoyable dont get me wrong, and I understand evolution is part of everyone but I just don’t get how you go from these uniquely cinematic perfectly mixed and mastered songs and high glam aesthetics. To poorly mixed and mastered and purposely lofi sounding songs wearing jeans.

i’ve tried to give most of her albums a chance, I liked Lust For Life but even then there’s a lot to be desired from it for me personally. I still remember the first time I heard West Coast as a single and being intrigued but then the chorus hit and the terribly mastered vocals kicked in and the lofi quality and I was like nah. Her quality is far too few and far between even in the same album from track to track and sometimes it feels like whiplash.

I also don’t get this trend of purposely making your album or song titles longer, as titles go DYKTATUOB could been called Tunnel or Ocean Blvd the title was unnecessary. Same goes for this brand new song title she’s about to release
