VanishIntoMe 3,928
Honestly, Taylor is really bad at speaking at these issues when she has tried in the past. She's only good at it when it comes to her personal experience (ownership of masters for an example). That's not an excuse though. She doesn't have to do a lot, but her being completely silence is unacceptable. The excuse that she wants to protect her fans was fine when she was on tour, but it aint anymore. Now she's only protecting herself Edited February 7 by MonSwiftAnton

Taylor’s fanbase feels more like a cult I think the cult thing with the Swiftie fanbase is the age demographics - way more younger age groups in that fanbase than in the monsters these days. And it is predominantly teens to early/mid 20s where the rabid cult mentality develops for fandoms. The gays know how to party

I genuinely think Taylor's prolonged success can easily be attributed to the fact her old hits got released to a younger gen (she's been around longer than Gaga has) so they were discovering them with Taylor's Versions since a lot of them were pre-teens or younger when they originally came out. BUT 1) Gaga was always socially conscious back in the day and actively would keep us in check on places like Twitter/LM.com by replying to us about negativity. 2) Taylor's fans now are getting to an age where they're socially aware more (late teens/early 20s) and they forget she's a nearly 40 year old woman with commitment issues playing a 18 year old.
