yeah, it has something to do with being superstar peers (although Beyonce debuted earlier but her solo career reached heights the same timeline with gaga, Rihanna, TS, etc. 

Same thing with Celine and Mariah not interacting that much. 

but mostly I observe this with the superstar pop divas

While I wish Gaga did have more features and collaborations with other artists and producers...she is also very selective.

She isn't like some artists (Nicki) who feature on every other song and water down their image for cheap streams and view bumps...

She also is very hands on with any type of collaboration and gets involved in the creative so perhaps she feels it's easier if people want to reach out to her. I'm sure she does as well but we also have to think of geographic logistics, busy schedules, timing of album rollouts, etc...

I think a reason they don't say it is basic manners lol like it's poor etiquette to pull someone aside at a big industry event and put them on the spot and industries like this are all built around etiquette and proper rules.

As for why superstars dont interact, honestly my theory is that they're all hounded by everyone else so they barely have time between commercials lol plus in a lot of cases, i imagine there's an unspoken understanding that they probably dont want to be there at the event doing all that in the first place so they dont bother each other whereas the younger or less famous are starstruck and want to see them.

If I remember rightly performers have dressing rooms (see: last year’s GRAMMY TikTok she took in her dressing room)

It’s a combination of a few things like etiquette, maybe they don’t want to, also collaborations are often handled through contracts and management and NOT in a public space.

Plus, Gaga is very hands on with everything she does I can’t imagine her sitting in a room with Billie AND her brother because from what I’ve seen a lot of the stuff is done by Billie’s brother and she just sort of marries it all together to suit her vision. Which is fine but Gaga is more of a sit at the piano with wine and work together in my living room person. I mean she essentially helped produce Ariana on ROM in the studio together and sat and wrote the rest of the song at a piano with Bruno for DWAS.

Beyonce is also now the LEAST hands on person in music she doesn’t write or produce the music, she controls the vision for her tours yes but even for Telephone and Video Phone they weren’t in the studio together nor did they see each other until the shoot of the videos lol. Beyoncé’s label pushed for Gaga on the reissue of IASF because she was big at the time, and in return they put Beyoncé on her record. That’s how it used to work back in the day, labels would put artists together to make multiple songs.

Oh I don’t think Beyonce is the least hands on. If anything she gives micromanager down. I think the way it goes for her is more like (not always but a lot of the time since 4):

- people write stuff, writing camps

- she parses through and gives notes

- rewrites

- then they’re in the studio where she might splice stuff together, etc.

i always saw her like someone who likes for resources rather than necessarily is the raw material. She has a ton of vision and talent and I think directing suits her. There’s definitely people more like Rihanna who just basically sing what’s in front of them lol I think Beyonce was definitely more controlled earlier but then there’s also stuff like BDay that’s just really really brash and abrasive and I have a hard time believing that was just all put down in front of her to sing without input. So that’s where I tend to believe my theory. I have a hard time believing someone so meticulous wouldn’t be musically so as well

I used to have an mp3 of song The Fame live at the MB. After the song she sings a bit of Born In The USA and says “I was playing Z100 Jingle Ball and I’m walking and bump into someone, and it was f king Bruce! I said oh my god, my mother loves you so much, you’re a f king rockstar!!! Then I said ‘what are you doing here?’ And he said ‘my daughter came to see Lady Gaga!’” This Bruce interaction was way early on and I remember thinking he is a such a class act acknowledging the newbies being the legend he is. Now, she is that legend acknowledging the kids. 

Is it just me or are Kelly and Jack Osbourne waiting to talk to her?
