i don’t want to be the rock n roll police…  he clearly loves the oldies 60/70s rock imperial eras but what he does feels performative.

i’m happy for him that he got to be mentored by such a legend as Ozzy, though. that must’ve felt extremely validating.

I agree here, and I think he is still finding himself as an artist independent from his influences. He is insanely talented and has rockstar energy, but I think he needs to establish who HE is. I'm actually going to see him in concert this year and I'm excited because I feel like that will give me a bigger appreciation for him as an artist
