Y’all saying she’s only doing this because of the “backlash” is hilarious  there is no backlash. The only place I’ve seen people complain about this is on this forum, and she sure as hell isn’t reading this during her downtime.

We go through these conversations every year and it’s frankly very annoying. Every time there’s a national tragedy or some sort of injustice happening there are threads like “Does Gaga care anymore?”, “I miss the Old Gaga when she used to speak up for stuff”, “Gaga is hypocritical”, etc., etc. Should she have said something about ICE sooner? Absolutely. There’s always more she could do. However, let’s stop acting like she doesn’t care. Gaga has been one of the most vocal artists since her debut.

there are a LOT of vapid, stupid people who on this site who don't recognize what's going on right now. Speaking up matters a lot. The mr Rogers song is a powerful statement, its a perfect way to address things in a kind way, but we also need stuff like this and I'm glad she's speaking from the heart.

so thank you Lady Gaga, and a hearty f*ck you to all you privileged idiots and morons who don't get the gravity of the situation and feel inconvenienced by the necessity of everyone needing to pick a side right now.

The trouble was that she postponed the show where we were supposed to give her the book so we had to send it to Chicago to give it to Bobby.

We got it to her, we just never heard anything in response and haven't had a chance to ask Bobby about it.
