What is wrong with just doing regular tours nowadays. Happy Gaga does it at least, but damn, I hope she will never pull stuff like this (except of an Amsterdam residency, but not in other cities)

Surprised they announced 30 MSG dates in one go, risky strategy. 

Otherwise, I genuinely think this is going to become the future of touring for a lot of big names. Essentially a residency on tour.

Touring isn't for everyone. It can be lonely, it can be isolating, it can be draining. 

Some people don't enjoy the always on the go lifestyle. Some are more suited to being able to ground themselves.

why spend money transporting the stage around the county when you're popular enough to have the country come to you?

it's labels cutting corners because music makes less money now
