As a long time stan of the stage show, I was so amazed by his creative take on how to get this story from stage to screen and all the additional stuff he put in were fantastic. And the technical teams did really well for the noms on the 1st one. I bet a lot of the voters didn't see the argument to reward them twice for the same piece of work.
