TheSine 6,397 Posted January 14 Share Posted January 14 The Fame feels more authentic to me, which is why I love it so much. It showcases her creativity and talent with what she had at the time. She had a concept and stuck to it, and it worked! Something about the cheap wig and having 2 dancers felt so real to me. She worked day and night for that. Not saying the albums that came after it aren't, I'm just saying that The Fame was when she was most vulnerable while she was discovering her image. Honestly, I love that on the last 3 tours/eras she's dug out deep cuts and shown them love. Bloody Mary at JWT/Scheiße & Teeth at Coachella 2017/Monster for TCB and then Summerboy/the encores and piano surprises for Mayhem. I Like It Rough is a ****ing bop. The last seconds of Poker Face where she repeats the same phrase are super annoying and I always want it to end. The feature on Just Dance kinda ruined the song. I don't seek it out much and didn't miss it being on the setlist at past tours, but I'm glad it's back. I think Brown Eyes is incredible. I love it... seems like I've seen others scoffing at if over the years.
