It makes me mad how the rest of the world has kinda slept on the Copacabana concert! Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the US or Europe could host a concert with a 2,5M attendees but since it happened in Brazil it feels like it’s no big deal

I remember reading it had over 1.9 Billion impressions across all media...So it I think no one really slept on it. Its just that it happened on Q2 of 2026

and how exactly is it important? what did it contribute to music apart from slop headed for charity stores and landfills?

i'd argue that LUX is infinitely more important to music and art than anything taylor has produced, I don't even consider myself a Rosalia fan but LUX really touched and travelled through my veins

and my bias side argues that Mayhem on the Beach was just as important... 2.5m people chanting along to Abracadabra is no small feat...

mother, what must i do?

How is someone announcing one of their worst albums be one of the most important moments of the year? :icant:

I feel like the collective realization of how bad the lyrics are was way more important.

I'M SAYING LIKE. The second it isn't in the "West" people don't care nearly as much.

I really don't get it honestly. At this point it's giving industry plant 'cause I never hear about Taylor ANYWHERE other than this site :icant:

Truly the billionaire controlled media darling.

McDonald's just came out with some new value meal (it's $3 more expensive than it used to be) and Taylor's on the front of Time.

We're losing :madge:

Well, unlike anything Taylor does, I actually did hear people talking about "that crazy ass show Lady Gaga did" back when it happened :whitney:

Sorry, but Gagas fart is more important than this, let alone Abracadabra, Copacabana and the Mayhem Ball, but sure, lets celebrate mediocrity.
