I can't get over how polarising the reception is, the only album that comes this close to such a thing is Reputation and now its score has fallen below that. She's now at 68, her second-lowest album score, just 2 points away from being her lowest scoring ever. The negative reception from her own fans is baffling. If she breaks Adele's record, it'll be bittersweet as it'll be known as the laughing stock with the public and the album that even the fans don't like, selling like it did purely because of fan loyalty and their insistence on buying everything in the opening week. Now the question is - will she continue releasing singles and will they be successful? Will she tour with it? Will she retreat from public life and avoid overexposure by taking a few years hiatus? Or will she just react by putting out another album next year to correct it? With her track record, I'm veering towards the latter...

im here expecting the album to fail creatively but im surprised i find it highly listenable to and in fact like more songs than i did in any post-Lover album. 

that said i hate the smug and conceited Almost Romantic. 100% skip. sounds like bieber's love yourself. also elizabeth taylor is annoying.

but i also like this album. others have said it but this album has much more replay ability given the shorter album track and just the melodies and beats compared to TTPD
