I don't get how you can be guilty of transportation for the facilitation of prostitution, but be innocent of sex trafficking.

this is federal criminal trial, the US government is the plaintiff.
Cassie filed a civil suit in the past and reached a settlement of $20M in 2023.

I think what hurt both Cassie and Jane was the texts at the beginning of their relationship. I firmly believe the jury was swayed in some way outside of the court. RICO was 100% proven in court, how they didn’t see it is BAFFLING.

makes no sense 

They sound like the same but I researched this and they are different. Transportation for prostitution just means he facilitated the act of prostitution, but not necessarily forced or orchestrated it. Sex trafficking on the other hand would mean he reclutes, forced or harbored people for sexual acts (which to my understanding he did), but strictly talking about the crimes, that’s the main difference between them.

I have been thinking lately like, there was a time that I used to be more into spirituality and stuff and i feel distant from it right now. 
One of the things that pushes me away from certain beliefs ultimately is something like THAT! Not that I am any close to be perfect but when it comes to intentions, I feel like the universe has been really unfair with a lot of people. 
And by seeing those things happening I keep asking myself why karma has to be so slow when it comes to most of powerful people while normal folks keeps on struggling so much on a daily basis? 
Of course there’s a lot of people out here with bad intentions but most of working class just want to feel safe and have a house with food on the table, so why we have to suffer so much watching all of this mess right in front of us and we just can’t do anything?

Whats the point of this life after all? If the holy scriptures are saying that no matter the size of your sins you will pay for them anyways then why those rich people still have the advantage to stay abusing and making bad things to other people with - apparently - nothing coming for them in order to pay the damage they are causing? 
 

I just can’t understand all that, unfortunately.
