The start of this era she wasn't even the one making social media posts for the album. She doesn’t like touring and its only in this era she's blaming health rather than actually not liking it. Dead petz is not an album a mainstream artist releases if they care. Honestly Flowers is the first time since Malibu that her music has felt designed for charting rather than her usual flavour of "I just wanted to do x/y/z" You know what? You’re actually right. Based on what she’s said in interviews and what she’s been putting out, it is kinda obvious that Miley just wants to do what she wants regardless of the commercial outcome of it. Makes me way more excited to watch the film once it’s out tbh
GagaSuperfan1 362
I’m listening right now, and I find it to be genuinely entertaining and pure ear candy. It is so different, and speaks to the title, mixing genres, themes and experimentation to create something beautiful. I will be listening. 1
YoungWildCanadian 277
Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved is a certified bop in my opinion. I think the end spoken word vogue-esque part has TikTok potential for the gheys. A radio edit would be a great single like with what Billie did with Happier Than Ever. YoungWildCanadian

Bronco 10,762
Finally sitting down with the album and listening to it this morning in full. Not her best album, but I love the vibe of it. Its the type of album you put on in the background, dim the lights, pour a glass and sit down with a good book. And now having listened to it in full - the album does have a pretty standard style of narrative for an album. The film lets it down, but the album concept is pretty clear in its focus on searching for love/romance and the current relationship not really living up to the potential.
River 116,170
For a project that supposed to be a cohesive piece of art it feels not cohesive at all. There are some gems but something is very lacking so it makes me wonder, what all the writers and producers who worked on the album did at the studio? how could they all lack so much of their artistry and vision on the project? and it's not like she worked with shitty people, she brought talented people to work with her on it. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
Abramovic 1,652
Well, the german news call it her magnum opus and I have to agree. it’s so rich of sounds/melodies and the vibe is just so good. I think Miley is creating pure art at the moment. Not for everyone but very bold and very against the mainstream.

Murakami27 4,436
Sensational album. Infinitely better than ESV. It has a psychedelic, glam, lounge pop vibe that’s reminiscent of Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino, which I absolutely love. I don’t agree about this not being cohesive. The album flows very well and you can hear sound Miley is journeying through from start to finish. Something Beautiful, Walk of Fame, Pretend You’re God has the most experimental sound that I really wanted. End of the World, Easy Lover, Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved are the most bombastic. This is her most grown up album and and Miley is very much in full control. It’s confident and unapologetic. I can’t wait for the visual because this album sounds very cinematic. Yeah, I don’t agree with that review at all. This is some of Miley’s best work.
Vimo 977
Omg, I didn't think I'd love it that much. Reborn is giving Boney M and I was NOT expecting that 😂 Golden burning sun is AMAZING! Every song has a classic feeling to it. I don't care what media and twitter says. This is amongst her best work!

andy232000 11,361
Im finishing my first listen as I type this. Honestly I set my expectations so low since the first couple of songs did not hit and the album rollout was terrible, so given the low bar, I think it was a decent -even good- album. I still feel most songs do not really hit on the first listen and require a lot of downtime and digestion to fully land, which is a shame. I also do not agree with people saying the album is not cohesive? If anything all songs truly embrace the chaos. Ironically, the thing that I was missing from Mayhem was more twists and turns regarding genre bending. Miley’s attempt is more “chaotic and much more messy” than the album named Mayhem. Every single song on this album has a very dramatic twist and change, from pace, rhythm, strings to electro pop and back. However, that’s not necessarily a good thing always. Sometimes it’s really interesting, sometimes it’s like hearing 5 songs smashed into 1. So in the end, I’m in a 50/50 glad Gaga did not go too crazy with switching genres without care, because Miley goes all out to the point the songs get disjointed and don’t always feel natural, as interesting as it may be to listen to them. The interludes add nothing imo. Only the Prelude was cool. The other two just felt like filler. overall, I think this is Miley’s most interesting work. Most difficult to digest, but definitely ethereal, and intricate. Its and album that, because of its complexities will not do good with the GP or critics. I truly feel that in order to give it fair shot, you have to listen to it more than 3-4 times, and most critics will not do that. They’ll write their reviews on first listen and that will affect it negatively I think. The first 3 reviews put it at a lukewarm 60 Edited May 30 by andy232000
