vmpiregrn 870
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to connect with any album I discover in my adulthood like I did as a younger person maturing and finding my way and identity, and for that reason, it’s Born This Way. But I don’t think any music I discover now as an adult could ever have as much impact as it would have in my adolescence.
LauraPalmer 554
it’s always gonna be Born This Way for me. i am curious, though, what my answer would be if Mayhem had been released earlier and BTW now. BTW completely changed my life and it’s not really possible for me to look at it objectively. i’m a woman, i insist, it’s my life ♀ 1

popkulture 93
If Mayhem came before BTW, then we would all easily say Mayhem. But BTW was the FIRST time we heard the version of Gaga we all fell madly in love with. You can't beat the first time you heard something. BTW is a core memory for so many Little Monsters, who were touched and inspired by this album in the difficult teenage years. With Mayhem, we're adults, so it's a totally different experience. The two are definitely my top 2 albums. However, BTW cannot be topped. Ever.
