I genuinely think they learned their lesson with Disease. Strike while the iron is hot!!

i feel like them knowing this song exists disease was def a lil buzz single vibe to introduce us to the energy we were gonna be receiving.

I honestly don’t think Disease was ever meant to be pushed, or be a hit. I think it was a slow reintroduction to what this album is gonna be, so they allowed people to find it organically and Abra is gonna be the song they really invest in. I suppose we will see though!

I find it funny how some Monsters were worried about Abracadabra not being radio friendly and it flopping.

Does anything count for the video and song playing on national television or nah cuz they paid for it

Nah MC/Interscope paid for the air time - but it def helped the YT views which counts for streams on BB

Yassss. This is the first time in like, forever that they have sent it immediately instead of that “impacts radio 2 weeks in” crap

Disease got sent to radio the following Tuesday (Or Thursday?) after release, not weeks later.

The delayed video release, no extensive promo, and lack of any digital or physical single release always gave me the impression. I'm sure it also had to do with wanting to launch it, but having DWAS and Harlequin releasing prior - they kept any push minimal on all of them and let them stick to organic growth

I made a thread about this last year, and I was stoned to death in that thread saying I was crazy by some users I remember. :iamfair:

"And I still love you even if I can't see you anymore."

I think this site just used the only picture available for the song really :selena:

DWAS doesnt have a radio edit

Heart Radio in the UK still plays it three times whilst I’m at work, but one of those three times will be an edit where they have the second chorus turn into the outro :messga: a literal crime

that + not that worthy of an investment anymore... streaming is making single releases a lot less profitable so Disease really was the sacrificial lamb to open the era

mother, what must i do?

I think they are counting on It still getting manu streams Just from being First track from the record. Honestly i understand not doing a physicall Release. Its not like Monster will buy everything. Better do It for a single that's MOST likely of doing good. It might compromise the investment in the CDS or merch. At the end of the day the people buying are Always the same. The go doesn't buy singles
