bowlsofbrett 433
The only reviews I’m acknowledging are the YouTubers who are LOVING it! I genuinely loved the song on its first listen and all of my friends are raving about it! Even if I didn’t love Gaga I’d be blasting this song! My 70 year old mother even enjoyed it and said it was super catchy. 3

"The ghost of Christmas Past" doesn't have an apostrophe either though, does it? I thought they simply used Gaga in plural here, because they are referring to her at multiple stages in her career, I guess? Idk, English is not my first language, so I'm genuinely wondering and don't mean to be rude. Pls correct me if I missed sth here. Anyway... Abracadabra is just too good. Such valid criticism! They are not prepared for Mayhem, I fear.

Here, "Christmas Past" is like a proper noun—at least, that's how I interpret it. But "ghosts of Gagas past" doesn't work that way. "Gagas past" is not a proper noun, they're just talking about Gaga's past, so there should be an apostrophe. 🖤👨🎤👹🕺

I thought it's an expression that stems from the proper noun you mentioned, but can be made with other terms too, like "the ghosts of lovers past", or sth like that (in plural). Thank you! Anyway, the song is a bop and obviously too much for Pitchfork to handle.
NibbCub 207
It's OK. It reminds me of Telephone for some reason, which isn't my favorite song. I much prefer Disease.

This single is not my absolute favorite but it’s still better than 90% of pop music released in the last year — Taylor, Sabrina etc. Idk if Fantano is a hater. This dude usually likes a song/album when it's not well-receveid by the fans so... He defended ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica. But I can already guess what he will say, "Edgy lyrics, great vocals, but the productions is too weird and I don't like this part... And it's sounds too much like a BRAT song (Cirkut produced songs on BRAT btw)... yada, yada." Idk if the fact that "Guess" lost over "DWAS" at the Grammys will make him acts even more bitter. I'm here to take a break from university homeworks :/ 1

Also plural Gagas, which makes sense with her iteration on herself over the eras.

LilyLark 10,059
Pitchfork has been incredibly critical of FKA Twigs of late, and was needlessly nasty about Halsey. So I generally tend to ignore them, but honestly by Pitchfork's standards that's relatively mild. Fantano, Pitchfork, and I think it's Slate (not sure) tend to dislike everything Gaga does.
