These are not the kind of performance I'm talking about and you know it :laughga:

She threw an entire show at Coachella together last minute. There's no excuse for not popping up somewhere randomly to perform her banger of a lead single.

Guys, I think y'all aren't ready for her genius promo...

I bet that :

She changed her style for this era by bleaching her eyebrows and having black hair. She won't do like for her other eras, by changing her style too much to be recognizable for the GP. Her MVs are going to follow a same lore with the same alter-ego and easthetic. So she will be able to boost "Disease" by this way. Her songs will communicate to each others. And she will get a big boost by making concerts at Coachella and Copacabana. :vegas:

I'm here to take a break from university homeworks :/

Someone said on another thread that the first single has always been kind of like a fire starter, not the main event (PI, SL) and then the 2nd single is where she usually goes all in promo wise (MR, ROM).

I believe for all releases she tries to change it up, not do the same promo formula that she has done before.

Give it time. 2025 is going to be huge.

I mean...she was in a random club performing Perfect Illusion to a couple dozen people literally the day after it released. Making appearances at every radio station to talk about the song and her upcoming album. Joanne technically got TWO tours :deadbanana:

I don't hold anything promo related against her for Chromatica 'cause covid happened.

I'm nettled tonight and exhausted so I'm definitely being more abrasive that I usually would, pardon me :icant:

I don't care about promo for promo's sake, literally could not care less if she ever showed up on the top 100 again, I just want her to be enthusiastic about whatever she's doing. I would have preferred for Disease to come out in 2025 if she was just gonna do absolutely nothing with it.

Even Happy Mistake (probably her best ballad since Dope) has a performance, like come on :kry: if that's the kind of music you want to release and perform then do it. Don't throw a banger out there to die of neglect of you aren't feeling it.

Yes but see what you said about Perfect Illusion performed to 'a couple dozen people'  - I remember at the time on this forum A LOT of fans were incredibly disappointed, having meltdowns, and leaving the fanbase, because the promo wasn't "up to their standard". At the time, it didn't live up to the promo we had seen before (ARTPOP, Born This Way) which will never be topped.

Like I said. She tries something different with each release, and at the time we reflect on old eras and disappoint ourselves because she's not filling live tv/radio spots. Don't get me wrong, I wish she would just as much as you, but I have learned to be patient with her and trust the vision she has for the roll out.

Like Chromatica was supposed to be, they want to make it a Hollywood blockbuster movie type feeling, and that is definitely happening.

If she released in 2025 we would have rioted because of the CBT film "LG7 GAGA RETURNS". It would have felt like yet another broken promise, especially with all the Joker/Harlequin release.

I understand we want more from Disease, however I love the lowkey vibe she's giving off with these very tame performances/interviews so far.

This song is for the fans, enjoy it.

She's finally giving us DarkGa/RockGa vibes and all people do is bitch about how it charts and how it's not adult contemporary pop or Jazz. Her label supposedly likes the album and is supportive if it. Wtf do yall want from her?

I understand peoples frustrations that the lead single didn't get a ton of promo like most lead singles normally do, but given the timeline and lack of physical release, it would seem that Disease was a promo single meant to have the fanbase hold space until 2025. The November/December holiday gap is real and would have upended any promo people are "missing" this year anyway. Not that their was much to go on anyway, all the award shows are in the Spring.

same, also she didn’t specifically say it’s the lead single, I remember during the Joker 2 WB dinner when she revealed LG7, it’s says ‘October LG7 First Single’. It didn’t imply the song being a lead. So it could be a buzz single for all we know. But then again I may be coping because of the lack promo disease gets 💀

Guys, maybe the reason is that many people don't like what Gaga does from ARTPOP until now, I don't know people outside of the fandom who like Gaga's sound post BTW or TFM (not counting the people who like her jazz side /adult contemporary), I saw mixed reviews of Joanne and Chromatica from people on the internet too.

Lol, she shot a video and recorded several performances of it. Did a few Tiktoks. She also has remixes ready to drop. She's obviously excited about the album and is engaged and ready to do more promo when the album comes out. Don't forget she also did the Olympics, promoted a movie and released a surprise album this year.

To hold space, just like Defying Gravity :diane: I didn't know that was happening, that's really powerful

I'd go as far as to say she only went back to "dark" pop 'cause that's what she thought would be successful. Harlequin seems more in line with the kind of music I think she wants to make and if she truly made the music she wanted to she'd probably never reach the top 10 again.

not at all, if anything that's how chromatica feels in comparison to LG7. the way she talks about this record with such excitement is way more telling that she's finally made in album in years that she wanted to make vs felt she had to make

mother, what must i do?

River

Ya'll are still stuck in 2010 lol

Promo for an album cycle is a WASTE OF MONEY.

The real promo should focus on the tour.

Nobody ears money to feed their dogs from selling music unless they scam their fans.

This is just your pure wishful thinking but yes she will promote more next year.

In my opinion she will release Harlequin live around Christmas or New Year's eve and then focus on LG7.

Some of what I said is wishful :brat: but I actually have a theory with proofs about the cinematic and communication between LG7 song. :trollga:

And the way Gaga changed her style for this era is not just for the aesthetic, her team really tries to build her a whole LG7 aesthetic. Every current pop girls have their aesthetic and Gaga will be the one that will bring again some dark imagery to this generation if her era is successful. I noticed that the GP struggle to recognize Gaga bc she changes too much her clothes and hair, which is cool for the sake of fashion but uncool commercially. :cheeky:

Why is the era Tour this successful ? Partly bc of the colors and imageries that are memorables. How did Sabrina managed to get so popular ? Her vintage bombshell aesthetic ? And Chappell ? She brought back some campiness to this generation, which is the reason why she's associated to Lady Gaga. :trollga:

Obviously, I don't care if it's a commercial success, I'm a fan and I prefer artistry over popularity. But I do love these kind of speculation about communication strategies, it's a discipline that I like. :vegas:

Also I totally forgot about "Harlequin" live performances, I think that it could be a smart move to publish it during Christmas on Netfilx or some other streaming platforms. :staymad:

Where could she pop up though?

You've got the Jingle Bell Ball which no one talks about these days. Its just mainstream filler fodder for instagram.

She could maybe have done a late night show appearance like she did for Happy Mistake. But the relevance of those shows could not be any closer to death without dying these days.

And then there's **** Clarke's NYE show.

Promo slots in Nov & December are just dead so like what do we expect?

If she doesn't take up slots in the awards show season - especially as JFAD will not really get pushed at all, then I'll be mad about wasted opportunities.

But atm, there's **** all for her to do where she could deliver the full Gaga performance we all expect.
