She doesn't have that many hardcore fans anymore. Just look at the activitiy on this site. It is a shred of what it used to be.

Oh I don’t remember that. If hardcore means buying tickets to multiple shows, potentially even in different countries, buying multiple versions of one album, I can see that, but I think there’s hundreds of thousands of people globally who would consider themselves hardcore fans I.e. owning most, if not all of her albums, seen the movies, following her on socials, watch her videos, etc.

Hell I mean Harlequin sold 16,000 pure copies in the US alone in the first week and that had to have been 95%+ “hardcore” fans buying 1-2 copies each

I think Gaga’s at a point where “hardcore fans” have naturally moved on and have grown up with Gaga. The need for validation by means of chart success and consumption for the sake of a win isn’t a priority.

The former hardcore fans will still show up to her (sold out) shows and listen to her music, but not feeling the need to court fans into buying multiples, or sacrificing musical integrity for the sake of chart success aligns with the fanbase.

Gaga culled a lot of toxic fans when she was no longer on top, and culled even more when she ventured into artistic endeavours that she wanted to pursue.

But the toxicity was replaced by fans who admire her work and will show up when it’s important. I want to believe there’s less embarrassment when she gets a critically acclaimed song that’s not a hit, and more people willing to see her live because the music is full of bangers.

So does streaming on Spotify help? Actually just yesterday I was thinking  how I feel like naturally over last week my hype for the Disease ended and I don't put it on purposely. But I'm gonna stream all the versions now, on my way to work :ohwell:

Calling every fan who doesn't share the exact same opinions as you "toxic" is not really productive. Wanting her to make good music is normal.

But does anyone ever think maybe if LMs were a little more organized or spent less time b*tching and more time streaming and buying the alt versions it could at least do a little better? Being on the Hot 100 versus not when the new year comes around could be a huge deciding factor in how they handle the rest of the era. When we’re talking about staying in the 70-100 region versus falling off completely it could be decided by a few thousand streams or sales.

Disease selling 2k copies when the Poison was launched is FOUL on a “stan” scale

Im not saying we need to be as worried or “obsessed” or rabid as we used to be or as Swifties, Barbz, K-Pop stans, etc. are nor do I expect that 15 years in, but it’s very hypocritical when fans want more content then don’t consume it lol

Any product or service needs to be sold by the seller. Whether it’s a movie, a bottle of soda or a haircut. You introduce what you sell to the public, defend it with passion/conviction/visibility. It doesn’t work the other way around. You don’t buy a product in order to hopefully get the seller to prove you it’s worth it.

Also, I’m pretty sure 90% of the fans have done their job already and keep doing it.

Thank you all for keeping this thread alive :anveeroy:

I found two other auto-generated uploads of Disease and added them to the playlist (Antidote Instrumental + Poison Instrumental) so now it’s 10 different uploads that can be streamed 5 times per day per account :stupidoreo:

Stream gheys!

Some fun math!

If I’m remembering correct (based on streams to BB H100 points) and doing my math correctly…..

If 188 free YouTube account holders watched each of these videos 5 times in a day that’s 9,400 streams = 5 sales = 1 point

The bottom 20 of the Hot 100 is unaffected by recurrent Christmas songs and songs chart there with 40-55 points. One point could be a deciding factor here

I feel like Harlequin set the nail in the coffin for the GP. There was A LOT of hype from non-LMs thinking it would be some dark album and then it kind of solidified that Gaga is just some vocalist jazz singer now.  FAD was supposed to be the BIG show to GP that she's returning to her dark roots but that flopped. With DWAS being a hit, Disease feels random.

It's currently my top song on my Apple Replay but most people I know don't even know it exists... I am the last LM from the people i know irl and all the former ones I know have moved on to join other fandoms.

What is Disease run for the Billboard 100 chart? Does anyone know the current positions and the ones held for past weeks since its launch

I don’t think the GP tuned in for Harlequin tbh, its numbers showed that. I just don’t think they’re exposing her in the right ways. What exactly that all entails idk. But an increased social media presence wouldn’t hurt. The physicals. More BTS content. A performance, a sighting, anything

Anyways, stream :vegas:

27 (Debut) - 58 - 56 - 59 - 76

It would have spent the last two weeks closer to the top 50 or in it without Christmas songs and Kendrick’s album bomb

Pls USA monsters, don't let it die, stream, stream, stream and call your local radio stations demanding it :grr:

Radio is doing okay! We definitely need the US monsters to stream the songs AND to buy as many versions of the song as they can afford! :vegas: Every 5 sales is a point on the H100

I been lurking on the charts thread and we always get positive radio updates, we need to hope that trend keeps going, this song deserves so much more, this is her best lead in ages imo, it would be a shame to let it die.

And the same goes for interscope/her team, don't let this amazing song die, the gp just needs to play catch up a bit, i firmly believe that.

Her US fans couldn't even make DWAS go top that week when it was so tight, so the battle is lost. And honestly, I always thought trying to force the success of a song is lame
