I love that you kept enough reds, so that is not completely green. The contrast between the cold palette and the warm tones is very visually appealing to me.

This is a fan edit for fun, he's not erasing the original video :ladyhaha:. Imagine a fan posts their illustration, and some people start commenting: "Trash, the original photo is better, we don't need a drawing of her face" :laughga:

Some people are into graphic design, and this is a fun edit, no different from musicians making remixes, etc. Getting defensive over this, is silly.

He's not claiming to have "improved" the original video, in the same way fans making remixes usually don't claim to have improved the original song. For graphic designers, this is like a remix.

Let other fans enjoy themselves and have fun, with these type of completely harmless edits. Unless you are Tanu Muiño herself, I can't imagine why you would be bothered by this .

Wow, that’s quite a strong and elaborate reaction to a comment that wasn’t even problematic in the first place. If anything, you’re the one that sounds bothered.

While every fan has the right to post whatever edit that pleases them, other fans also have the right not to enjoy it. It could also give off the feeling that fans want to « correct » the original vision, and given our history as a fanbase of wanting to control Gaga’s artistic choices, I can understand why this could seem annoying. I personally think this edit is a misunderstanding of the spirit of the video and takes an important component away from it, but I don’t mind the fact that someone was curious enough to make it.

I prefer the original version. Glad they stayed with the colours.

same here. I totally understand why even with a lil color grading, it would not be as intense and an overkill.

Editing this with color grading takes away the focus on her eye color, the makeup, the background and the contrast between demon and evil.

The Lady and the Legend coming soon.

I disagree. I don't think writing "let other users have fun with green edits" is a "strong" reaction :laughga:

Do you interpret that fans making things like an "80s remix" of a song, are trying to "correct" the song? :bear:. I'm sorry but your very comment proves why my previous post was necessary, yet you STILL completely ignored the part where I explicitely said OP was clearly not trying to "improve" the music video :awkney:

For Bad Romance's anniversary, a fan shared a reimagined version of the single's cover art. The idea that the fan was "disrespecting GaGa's vision" never even crossed my mind, because it was obvious they were celebrating her work, by engaging with it creatively.

Your paranoias regarding the fanbase are not OPs problem. And it is particularly rich that you come up with these hypothetic scenarios to justify why YOU are bothered by a green edit, right after you tried to scold me for CLARIFYING THAT NOBODY IS TRYING TO IMPROVE THE WORK THAT WAS PRESENTED :brat:.

So your argument is basically: "People could think this is disrespectful towards GaGa's vision :omg:" (insane take, but ok), and when someone makes a comment, clarifying that nobody is doing that, is just a fun thing to do for those who are into graphic design, your reaction is: "OMG, look at this long comment, you're so pressed! :wtf:", like, gurl... :icant:

Honestly I won't repeat myself for a third time, if a green edit bothers you, you can stay bothered, that's your choice bestie, we're not gonna take that from you.

The reason it could come across as a « correction » is because this green edit mirrors the color grading of the TV set image Gaga teased before the release of the song. Some fans expected this aesthetic and were confused / disappointed the video went in a different direction. Kinda in the same way fans were making Haus Labs edits of Babylon when they were disappointed about the final studio version, until they low-key bullied BloodPop into releasing it, and were still not satisfied after. Let’s not act like our fanbase doesn’t have a history of telling Gaga what she should do or should’ve done differently according to them.

As I mentioned, I personally don’t care much about it, I just wanted to clarify to you why some people might feel a certain type of way. But it is once again very clear that you’re the most bothered on this thread, so I won’t elaborate any further, it seems your mind is set and I’m not here to pick up fights.

Why so much drama over an edit :enigma:

I believe certain aspects of the video, like the scene in the “hostage” room, would work great with this filter, I do agree that I am much more of a fan of the direction they did go in with the video.

HOWEVER, @VTV I do love the idea of this and fair play for putting the work into making this edit for yourself and the people who WERE wanting something like this. Just because it’s not for everyone, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to enjoy it! This is why following an artist is enjoyable, because you get to see and experience all the interpretations and theories of other people who are into the same stuff as you!

Drunk rambles but the sentiment is DEFINITELY there!!!
