Spoilers ahead! 🎬

There has (understandably) been quite a bit of negativity recently following the release of JFAD. Let’s share some positives, what were your favourite scenes from the film? Here are some of mine:

- When Arthur fired his lawyer, kissed her, and decided to go Joker again. This scene made me feel so excited and anticipate how the story was going to unfold from there. (I loved that he learned kissing from Lee and then thought it was a normal thing to just do 😭)

- Lee applying makeup in the mirror and singing World On A String. She looked and sounded delightful

- Arthur signing the guard’s book :brat:

- Gary Puddles’ testimony

- The cartoon at the beginning was so great

- Any moment where Lee was singing, especially the breakout scene with If My Friends Could See Me Now and the waltz fantasy

- Arthur practicing his smiles and laughs in the car on the way to the court

The scene where Gaga says "you can do anything. You're joker".

I was totally in shock when she said it, I never heard her say it in the trailers ever, not once!

I like Joker and Harley Show. Joker says that this should be about him and that they're not giving people what they want. It explains the entire movie. Also the stairs scene 😭

The waltz scene...I found the photography and the colors to be so hypnotizing. Shame on them for making that scene so short,:patrizia: they had an incredible original song specifically composed for the movie but still decided to make a short scene out of it:traumatica:

The Joker and Harley show scenes that foreshadowed what was to come in the end giving the people what they want was to see him continuously decline. I found it interesting later on as well that during another of his hallucinations during the trial when he began representing himself, he sings "The Joker" and what I appreciate about that scene...I went back and listened to the full song, the version Gaga has on "Harlequin" and verse where she says the "Queen pierces him with her sword". It ties back to what I was thinking the entire film that something about her came across as contrived and self-serving. Using him for clout and falling in love with the idea of his shadow, but when he realizes he didn't want to be his shadow and she tells him "All we had was the fantasy. We were never really going anywhere".

- Folie a Deux rooftop dance. BEAUTIFUL scene, such a shame it was so short.

- Joker & Harley show, the Sonny & Cher type of skit and later when it got gory.

- Gonna Build A Mountain. I loved this entire scene with the tap dance and everything it goes full musical. I know people look at this and were turned off by it but that was the whole point, to take it to this ridiculous level of musical.

- The first time Lee and Arthur talk to each other and she's like "I hope he blows his brains out.. and then you did."

- Lee putting on her make up

- Car bomb scene

- Gary's testimony and the way he told Arthur that he was the only one who didn't make fun of him.

- The movie night when Lee starts the fire and they run.

-If My Friends Could See Me Now

-The Joker

-Every time Harley manipulated Arthur

-The last 30 minutes were my favorite lol

I'd mention the Waltz but it was such a waste. Absolutely disappointed with that one.

The film needed more of this sort of thing honestly, Joker letting loose!

Absolutely every Gaga scene! She had me hypnotized. The scene where Lee puts fire on the piano and crumples the sheet music was one of my favorites from her!

All the scenes you mentioned were great! I also enjoyed the one where the neighbor says the movie that was made about Joker was ridiculous and then Arthur turns to Lee to ask if it was true and she denies :ladyhaha: The scene where Arthur licks the blood from his face after shaving was a good one too.

We can’t deny the acting was stellar from both sides.

Edit: I forgot to mention the scene where Lee breaks the store window and grabs a TV

That scene was so beautiful! Definitely a highlight. Todd should have used the whole song for it. What a waste of potential :motherofpuppies:

The scene where Artie is being interviewed and tells the interviewer he's like all the rest of them, like Murray. And accuses him of just wanting sensation.

That's what the joker character is all about to me. They want sensation? He'll show them what sensation is.

The scene where Arthur tells Lee "STOP SINGING" 'cause I agree.

Dejare de quererte cuando un pintor sordo pinte el sonido de un pétalo al caer en el suelo de cristal de un castillo que no existe.
