If Billboard is supposed to be an indicator of popularity, it makes no sense that singles or albums may hit #1 as a result of mass buying or streaming farming because that album/single is not popular across different audiences. It’s just a matter of who can get the most sales of that week Same with Spotify and the monthly listeners thing. We should be looking for how many different listeners that artist can reach with their music.
