PR script or not she can still feel overwhelmed by the positive and negative attention she's receiving.
ceminay 296
I will never buy a ticket to one of her shows after this. She’s free to do whatever she wants and doesn’t owe anyone anything, but I personally would not invest my time, travel and money on her if a cancellation can happen so easily.

King of the Fall 3,522
Chappell has every right to set boundaries and prioritize her mental health but stuff like this is why I can't stand all the comparisons to icons when talking about her, it's as if they want us to believe she is the second coming of Madonna or Gaga even though we can all see she is very bad at being famous and would never have survived the kind of attacks that were leveled against either of them back when they were blowing up. She just needs to take a long break or learn to stop reading everything people say about her online. It would also be helpful if she got some good PR training because some of her comments are just self inflicted wounds even if she meant well Edited September 29 by King of the Fall He never sleeps. If she is a public figure and decides to make statements about whatever topic (and especially politics) she can’t expect the public not to react. If she can’t handle backlash or the amount of attention/demand she is getting she needs to step back and re-evaluate her career choices and seek counseling for mental health etc. WE are not responsible for HER ACTIONS. People need to learn to take accountability. THIS
Monstermilo 3,419
i dont feel bad for people who do everything to become mainstream famous - and then get mad at their fans being obsessed with them. like girl u could be an independent artist and still make music and perform (and make a DECENT living making hundreds of thousands instead of millions) but youre actively seeking out the VMAs, performing at coachella and lollapalooza and doing everything the industry wants you to do Edited September 30 by Monstermilo 4

I don't think the general public is up to date with Chappell Roan's drama, to actually get the joke . I mean, they named her at the end, kinda to explain the joke, but I doubt it'll help people get it, when they're still unfamiliar with her original statements . I also can't respect the Moo Deng slander, they can drag Chappell Roan for filth, I couldn't begin to care less, but I do draw the line at Moo Deng . They will NOT make bad comedy at the expense of this baby: I will not tolerate it HEART OF EVER-FROST

Hope she can figure out how to achieve the kind of career she wants. i dont think she really wanted any of this tbh, nothing wrong with that obviously. I think she was happy with performing for a couple hundred/thousand people and being relatively unknown, yet successful enough to live a comfortable life.

I’ve never seen Gaga cancel a concert because things have gotten overwhelming? If you know of a time that happened let me know, because being a popstar is going to be overwhelming most days, and I’d rather not plan my time and money around that.
