Taylor Swift's TTPD become the only album by a woman to spend its first 12 weeks at 1

Taylor is diminishing the relevancy and importance of the charts with her antics. She wants the numbers and records so bad, but in the end this means nothing to the GP or anyone in the industry. No one will look back at her numbers with the respect they do of Whitney, Adele, the Beatles etc. At least her delusional fans are happy but we'll see how they feel years from now when no one gives a sh*t.

Standard TD had 5 #1's. The last 2 of there 5 had remixes. ET with West and LFN with Elliot. The 6th single off the standard album was The One That Got Away which didn't reach #1.

The reissue gave her a 6th #1 with Part of Me. That's why no one thinks she actually "broke" the record but only tied it.

Also let's not forget that having multiple versions (album version, CD version, dance mix, radio remix etc.) was also a very common thing in the 80s. Bad the album's singles also had multiple versions, that however doesn't diminish its success.
