It may be low but hardly a diss in my eyes. But by MC standards and that most albums are so overrated critically these days, it's seen as a diss to many. I know everyone expected him to really pull out all the stops for his potentially final album but they have to remember that Eminem's been going steadily downhill for years. To my mind, the last truly good release from him was The Marshall Mathers LP 2 in 2013 (weirdly, no one seems to remember this album). He maybe should've retired Slim Shady much earlier, but he just dragged it out too long. It's going to be interesting to see if he continues as Marshall Mathers or if this really is the actual end because this kinda critical reception for what might be your final album suggests it's time to hang it up. I can see Gaga definitely not getting panned, but I can’t see her being critically praised as much as people seem to think she will UNLESS she goes more experimental.
