I'm not defending T.S. cause like WTF, girl, the album is way better than Midnights, but just chill.

BUT! Why assume it's against Charli? The Eras Tour is happening across the UK as we speak, so she's getting the natural boost in sales from touring there. It's logical she'd release extra content and capitalise (cause that's who she is) but it doesn't mean it's a war against Charli... This is the kind of thinking of 12yo, sorry. She's just low-key cold and egocentric but mostly she's a profit-driven artist. She enjoys being on top and is invested into staying there. It ain't against Charli or anyone else.

This whole thing of releasing different variants and suddenly selling so much more seems fake to me.

TS is resorting to cheap shots and low blows and quite frankly it reduces the integrity of the products she produces.

I mean I dont care about charts for my faves. I was making a joke. My eras tour show was this week, yesterday actually, so I actually was listening to Taylor due to that. 

But nothing gives me greater joy than seeing pop fans get so butthurt by an album debuting at 2. 

I think charts are useless in the streaming age because of how easily manipulated they are. They don't reflect reality in the slightest. Especially in the UK it seems. Didn't say I don't contribute to the manipulation when I know it will produce an entertaining outcome for me. I just don't cry when a fave of mine doesn't get a number 1.

Doesn't matter if she only reached #2. Let's focus on the quality of the album, not how many sales or who got to be #1 for the 3rd month in a row. It's really about longevity and it seems that this era is really that moment for Charli. It is annoying because a lot of fans were hoping for her #1 moment, but this ain't her first rodeo in the industry vowing for commercial success and the critical acclaim and praise she's received is more of a victory than anything.

I do like Taylor Swift's music but she has really shady business practices. I can't even fully blame her, she might just have a lot of unreleased material and her label wants to capitalize off it because they know her fans will eat it up.

I feel so bad for Charli, she deserved that #1.
