Is anyone going to start a new thread for the upcoming contest or is it not happening?

Anyway, I'm shocked that Israel is allowed to compete, assumed it was a given it wasn't happening and to see that 5 countries have pulled out in every way making for a complete boycott is like nothing I've ever seen, unprecedented in the history of the show. They'll be hoping more don't pull out at the last minute. I suspect the EBU was afraid to ban them. Russia only had to look at a country the wrong way and it got banned, its ban started way before they invaded Ukraine. Anyway, regardless, I decided to listen to them all and form my top 10:

#08 - Bulgaria

#07 - Ukraine

#06 - Switzerland

#05 - Azerbaijan

#04 - Belgium

#03 - Serbia

#02 - Sweden

#01 - Poland

My taste is normally a bit different from most ESC fans. It seems like most didn't go in for the novelty route this year, this is the most "serious" entries I've ever seen. Our UK entry is next level atrocious this year, so to see it get 21k likes is surprising and it's ironic that the year most entrants took it seriously is when we decide to go for daft novelty value! Anyway, this is actually a really good year, normally I only truly like a small handful. I counted 20 out of 35 entries being at least half decent, wonders will never cease. And yet, this is the year that's the most scandalous and bittersweet.
