Sure, and you have a point that some fan behavior can be over the top.

But we can--and should--equally apply that to Doja. Why the **** is a grown ass adult responding to her own fans in that way? Why the **** is she actively dating and defending someone who's had multiple allegations of sexual assault on top of old, but still problematic, racist comments? And not only straight up ignoring but actively blocking and lashing out fans who called him out?

I would totally understand if she ignores everything and doesn't say anything at all. But her response come off as extremely juvenile.

This is near-Kanye level of childish behavior.

I think people should do whatever they choose to do with their private time and shouldn’t have anyone judge them by it. Especially when it’s harming no one. Why is it that fandom culture is only toxic when it comes to pop stars ? But sports fans can be in fandoms for decades and no one ever calls them “unhealthy” nor consideres then “non functional society members” likes she’s insinuating.

Celebrities don't get to cultivate the fan culture, benefit from it IMMENSELY, and then tell their fans to "get a life". Like, I know parasocial relationships are usually ****ed up, but it is usually the celebrities who cultivate that, through vulnerable people online. Doja is 100% in the wrong here even if there might be a point somewhere if you squint.
