Musicians aren't meant to be sources of moral virtue, they're complex people who have complex lives, which is why they make music. 

It's ultimately Taylor's personal life and she's entitled to do what she wants. I'm not going to judge her character and attack her because she is "guilty by association". I'd wish she had a less toxic boyfriend, but that's not my decision nor choice.

It’s not like she isn’t aware, I genuinely am convinced he is playing an act on stage (like he is about to say something controversial each night on tour and the band would just start the music) which is clearly planned - and the whole stumbling around being an idiot thing might be some performance art because he is honestly that (borderline pretentious) into his art, so he’s probably told her that and knows that’s just his Alter ego for the band 🤷‍♂️

It’s the only thing I can think other than her literally not caring because it’s a rebound, she’s just usually so protective of her image so it is very unexpected

Where am I asking for her or Taylor’s music to be boycotted? Talking about accountability and owning up to your actions doesn’t always have to mean fans seeking out ways to cease streaming. But continue to spout Trump-esque arguments about cancel culture and the “hive mind” mentality of that helps you sleep at night with peace of mind that Taylor can do no wrong when it comes to who she goes to bed with. Just don’t expect the majority of people to agree.
