The Suburbs - Arcade Fire, 21 - Adele, Babel - Mumford & Sons, Random Access Memories - Daft Punk, Where We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go - Billie Eilish, Folklore - Taylor Swift were all very much deserved, I feel.

why is everyone here so focused on the past decade?

AOTY has been awarded for decades. Rumours by Fleetwood Mac, anyone?

I would have rather seen Future Nostalgia win over folklore

that album was IMPECCABLE

I have such weird mixed feelings about the concept of Album of the Year. For example, I think "When We All Fall Asleep [...]" deserved to win, however it is  not what I would have picked if I was a voter. I could say the same about Adele's "25".

But talking about deserving winners, I'd say: "The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire, "Golden Hour" by Kacey Musgraves, "Morning Phase" by Beck, "Random Access Memories", "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" by Outkast, "Jagged Little Pill" by Alanis Morissette and "Tapestry" by Carole King are some of the names that come to my mind

Babel - Mumford & Sons

Blunderbuss, El Camino and especially Channel Orange were far superior and more deserving albums in my opinion. I love Mumford & Sons, but I believe everyone except for them (and Fun.) deserved to take it that year.

I do agree that El Camino and Channel Orange were also great nominations, and I do think Fun. had no place being there.

pretty unrelated, but I felt cosmically betrayed when Gotye's Somebody that I used to know won record of the year against Frank Ocean's Thinking Bout You.
