Relevancy is not defined solely by album and single sales. Relevancy is defined by your presence in the public’s consciousness, interest in seeing your shows, media coverage of what it is you’re doing, conversation about you on social media, your back catalogue continuing to find new generations, other artists emulating your style and vibe. Legends never cease being legends, and legends never cease being relevant. Once you’ve reached a certain point where your name alone inspires conversation, you’re in for life.
