He got to be very successful and especially compared to the other male musicians out there, he really gives a lot from concept to visuals on his work. So of course he would be such a influence on the general market which I don’t think it’s a “selling out” thing at least the way he does it. 
And at the end of the day the best about him is that he keeps on giving good music.
