GGD Grammy Awards [Ceremony]

We have almost reached the end of 2022 and to commemorate a year full of exciting music releases, it is time to hold the first edition of the GGD Grammy Awards! Participants will be able to decide which albums should be considered for each category, the final nominations, and eventually, the winners.

This thread was inspired by the ATRL Grammys, which are taking place now.

General Rules:

1. Only music released between October 1, 2021, and September 30, 2022, is eligible (just like in the real Grammys)

2. Any and all artists are eligible regardless of their popularity, as long as their release(s) fit into the time frame mentioned above 

3. Participants may choose to skip categories if they wish

4. Responses for each stage are final upon submission (no editing allowed)

5. Anyone can participate, and each participant can only participate once in each stage

6. All voting will be done through Google Forms

Stage 1: Submissions (Deadline: December 10) [CLOSED]

In this first stage, participants are asked to submit the entries they see fit for each of the categories below. The chosen categories are in accordance with the official Grammys categories. Keep in mind the time frame of the releases while submitting. Also, I will disqualify submissions that do not fit the genres in which they are submitted (e.g. don't submit Break My Soul for Best Rock Song).

Stage 2: Nominations (Deadline: December 22) [CLOSED]

In this second stage, participants will be provided with a list of submissions for each category collected in the first stage. From these lists, we will create the final nominees ballot that will serve as the official GGD Grammy Awards nominees. The General Field categories will be reduced to 10 nominees each, while the rest of the categories will be reduced to 5 nominees each. These numbers are subject to change in the event of (1) not enough submissions to reach 10 or 5 nominees or (2) a tie, which would lead to more than 5 nominees. 

-Participants will pick from this list the entries they want to see nominated.

-Participants may pick up to 10 submissions in the General Field categories and up to 5 submissions in the genre-specific and others categories. The Form won't allow you to proceed if you pick more.

-Anyone can vote during this stage, including people who did not participate in the first stage. 

-Everyone must vote for the General Field categories, but participants are free to skip genre-specific and others categories if they choose to. 

-The lists are included in the Google Form that you will fill.

-In some categories, the nominees have been automatically selected due to the small number of submissions (these categories are pointed out in the Form and will be pointed out during the reveals).

-The nominees will be announced after the votes are complete and the deadline (Dec. 22) has passed.

Stage 3: Winners (JANUARY 3RD, 6PM CET)

In this final stage, participants will select their winner in each category from the list of nominees. Each participant can only pick one winner in each category.

The winners will be announced during the official GGD Grammy Awards ceremony. The date of the ceremony will be communicated in due time.

@alsemanchedon't forget that Songwriter of the Year has to be credited on 5 songs only as songwriter and can't be credited as producer on performer on these tracks so Taylor or Adele are not eligible
