I don't think Act 2 has a chance of seeing the light of the day because of that mess but it'd be a miracle if we hear something like Tea and maaaybe even Temple, which were the closest songs to being finished. We've heard Brooklyn Nights, Radio and Hallellujah and they weren't that bad for demos. Crossing my fingers it's music related but I know Paul also wanted to make a book and I'd be here for that too.

Also, this is Gaga we're talking about, I don't think she'd just drop 10 year old songs like that. If she wanted to, I knooow she'd change a lot of stuff on them, re-record vocals, etc. I'm not sure she'd have the time to really work on that with such a busy schedule.

A few weeks into the Joanne World Tour he started dj-ing tracks as her opening act and he played a portion of Tea and I remember some fans went wild during the Boston show. Granted I had a hard time following all the leaks and which ones belonged where.

I will say on another note that there was definitely a severe disconnect between Gaga and her fans during the ARTPOP era and for a few years afterwards up until recently (see videos of TCB shows and you can tell how happy she truly was to be on stage). I think if anything, ARTPOP serves as a reminder of how cruel the industry can be to artists from the fan, critic and record label perspectives. Fans complained about the material, her record label essentially abused her into doing things that didn’t align with her vision, and the critics panned the album because it wasn’t bubble-gum enough.

Yes but you said IWBWY was one of the three songs meant to be on the final track list, that’s not true. It was Temple, Brooklyn Nights, and Heard It On / Nothin On.

Gaga said herself Interscope made her change IWBWY last minute. The original version was the one she wanted for the record so...

Ok, but what you were talking about were the three songs that were mentioned on the final draft of ARTPOP (in which Dope was already finished). Before we found out about that document we had no idea about Temple and NOBTR being that close to making the album, we only knew BN was close. When you say the “three songs” that got cut last minute, that’s referencing the three songs that, based on the leaked document, got cut last minute (Temple, NOBTR / HIOTR, and BN). IWBWY was cut a bit earlier since Dope was already planned for the album by then. But I agree that IWBW deserves to be released, Im obsessed with the leaked demo.

Not a year. He should add Brooklyn Nights and Temple to the anniversary edition, or anything that was saved for Act 2. And please no covers from other artists such as BTW10

I thought she said she changed it because Interscope was pushing for that song to be released on the radio or whatever since ballads were trendy at that time? I distinctly remember her saying that the song was reworked as something completely opposite to radio-friendly as an FU to the label.

Thanks for confirming my point: the fact they most likely picked the 15 best songs of the bunch. As much as I enjoy Brooklyn Nights, I wouldn't sacrifice any song of the released album for it.

People seem convinced she's been keeping masterpieces away from us, and the truth is: for a fan, there's no better song than the one they haven't heard. I'm afraid y'all might be in for a bit of a disappointment when you finally end up hearing those.

I've been fantasizing about these songs like any other fan, but I'm also trying to stay realistic about the reasons why they haven't made the cut in the first place.

The way I see it, is ARTPOP felt like a massive comprise between what Gaga wanted and what her label wanted. In the end, neither were happy.

Put it this way...It was like Gaga sending a goth (ARTPOP) to a beauty pagent (the 2013 music industry). Although she dressed it up nice and tried to make it fit in, the real beauty would have been going full goth and making them stand out.

I dont care if the music is incredible or horrible, I think we all just want to see the goth in all its glory...the artists intention...warts and all.

I think this is another example of fans projecting their fantasies on something they don't know... She literally spent the era wielding knives, dressing up as gimps, going around London clubs completely naked, or getting vomited on, so I don't know what is this nice and proper dress up you're talking about, but you clearly have distorted memories of what ARTPOP was.

It is very sad how he held on to such a mediocre product.... Day after day reminiscing about something that never worked but allows him to extract revenue from those heavy fans who continue to live in the past and what "could have been."

I mean…he was there and in the trenches with her. I think you always hold onto that kind of **** and most other artists don’t do what Gaga does (pair up with a producer an album) especially one who’s a bit smaller scale. And when you know what it could have been but you fought so hard for it? And know people love it? I get it. I think it’s really great he cares so much

Could people just not ask for Act II

ARTPOP is already great as is, we don't need another one just to have it redeemed when it doesn't even need one.

I mean... for me at least it isn't for any kind of "redemption". It's about getting more work from my favorite era of my favorite living musical artist.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

Just re-read his post, he actually kinda confirming it will be HIS celebration of 10th anniversary : 'I will have solething special [...] I will honor the record.'

And Bobby and Gaga didn't react to this.

So don't get your hope too high
