The market is pricing in the US Central Bank (Federal Reserve) raising rates up to 4.26% and leaving it there for some time as it agressively seeks to fight Inflation

Currently the US has the 2nd highest interest rate in developed world after after Canada

Also 2 year government bond yields are around 4%... Never thought I'd see rates this high again anytime soon

They are also slightly higher than Canada's which means the market expects rates in the US will ultimately be raised to the highest in the developed world

This is just a pure and utter extreme capitalist money making scheme. Extreme capitalism needs to end. Now

There's a lot of flaws I don't like about capitalism

I'm not sure what's extreme about these rates tho. They are still low by historical standards... If they peak a little over 4% this cycle that will be a peak that is barely hitting long term average

Also in real terms these rates are technically still negative because they are lower than the current inflation rate

Economics is fake and no I will not be elaborating on that

Economics is not fake... Our modern system may have elements of speculation playing into the numbers if that's what u mean...

But the moment u have production and consumption of any resources or goods and services, that's economy with its functionality having real impacts

Even the most primative tribal societies that existed had an economy

I can't agree or disagree with u if I don't know what aspect ur refering to.

There's stuff that's manufactured... There's stuff that isn't. Again, even the most basic and primative tribal communities had an economy regardless of whether or not they did any kind of modern trading or buying/selling of goods as we know it or not
