I know this is just a jokey tweet but I've always thought the meat dress is more pro-vegan than anti it, which is funny considering the backlash it got at the time from vegans. I mean, the cow wasn't killed for the dress. It was killed for food. But Gaga used the meat to make a dress. To be honest, it very much sounds like something a vegan protest group would do today... to demonstrate how one 'wouldn't wear a dress made of meat' but would happily buy leather products etc. Obviously Gaga didn't intend this as a vegan protest, but it so could've been.

It wasn’t what we would consume as meat, it was made of cut offs - so the parts that wouldn’t be sold unless someone specifically asked for it to make a broth
