Imagine if Madonna gets credited for the #1

The #1 is happening for this past week.  For Madge to be credited for #1 (on Billboard, anyway), besides needing all versions combined to be the biggest song in the country for a second week, the Madge remix would have to be the most popular of all versions next week (meaning highest version in streaming, sales and radio play, collectively).  Not gonna happen. :huntyga:

I need an alien superstar remix ft Gaga asap

I'd be surprised, tbh. I don't think she has anything against Gaga (despite the fans constantly warring)...if anything, aren't they like friendly acquaintances? But Bey is making an effort to work with younger Black artists who don't have as much fame, etc. A Madonna remix is very much an outlier to her normal output nowadays...

I mean her Vogue breakdown dedicated to Black icons slaps pretty hard, as well as acknowledging the Ballroom scene:

Love thy hater, woo (Vogue)
Queen mother, mother Aaliyah (Strike a pose, vogue)
(You know you can do it)
Rosetta Tharpe, Santigold (Vogue)
Bessie Smith, Nina Simone (Vogue)
Betty Davis, Solange Knowles
Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl' (You know you can do it)
Lauryn Hill, Roberta Flack
Toni, Janet, Tierra Whack (Let your body move to the music)
Missy, Diana, Grace Jones
Aretha, Anitta, Grace Jones (Hey, hey, hey)
Helen Folasade Adu, Jilly from Philly, I love you, boo (Come on, vogue)
Don't just stand there, get in to it (Let your body go with the flow)
Strike a pose, there's nothing to it (You know you can do it)
Vogue (Do it, do it, do it)
Ah (Ah-ah-ah, la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la-la)
Mother of the House, ah (Ah-ah-ah, la-la-la)
Michelle, Chlöe, Halle, Aaliyah (La-la-la-la-la-la, Mother of the house)
Alicia, Whitney, Riri, Nicki (Ah-ah-ah, la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la-la, House Extravaganza)
House of Revlon, House of LaBeija (La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la)
House of Amazon, the House of Avion (La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la)
The House of Balmain (Go with the flow), the House of Ninja (La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la, You know you can do it)
The House on Lanvan, House of Telfar
House of La Doja, House of Mugler (Go with the flow, you)
The House of Balenciaga, the House os Mizrahi-hi-hi-hi-h (Go with the flow)
Hehehehe (You know you can do it)
Yeah, yeah (La-la-la-la-la)
(La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la, oh, ooh, oh, yeah; You know you can do it)

I feel a little bad for Cardi and Kim, NGL....like 95% of the influential female Black artists were namechecked...except those two. I mean, maybe they just didn't fit in the lyrics, but I feel like folks are going to notice since so many big names were included (it's not like she left out Jazmine, who is incredible but not a big name) and wonder if Bey doesn't care for them.

This remix is really good omg. :air: She replaced the Vogue names with black women’s names. Aaliyah, Chloe, Hallie, Janet, Aretha, etc.

Beyonce loves Lil' Kim. She's name dropped her in magazines before.

I was hoping to hear Madonna vocals on the mix :bradley: but it still slaps

Bey calls Aaliyah mother wasn’t she younger than her? I know it’s a sign of respect but it’s funny

No. Aaliyah was older.

Mariah is actually the biggest omission in retrospect...especially as Whitney is namechecked.

Well, if it’s called “THE QUEENS” with them both, I wonder how it would call a feature with Gagz :zilla:

QUEEN & JESTER Mix?

Just in time for a certain movie.

For a second I was like „But Kim K isn‘t black?“ until I realized you mean Lil Kim.

But ACCURATE, these two are truly missing.
