tyler k 3,011 Posted July 27, 2022 Share Posted July 27, 2022 Yup yes always and forever, Replay is the crowning achievement on this album from the lyrics, the sample, the themes, everything about it is perfect and weird and only something Gaga could and would craft. one of her best song songs, ever. one of the best pop songs I've ever heard. sexy 3,100 Posted July 27, 2022 Share Posted July 27, 2022 i think replay is the closest thing to an "objectively" great song Chromatica has, it seems like every song has its detractors except for Replay (and perhaps ROM, but i can't help but feel its status as a hit has at least a little bit of influence on that, even tho it's also an incredible track). production, lyrics, atmosphere, vocals, melody, and its energy are all on point, so so good. even tho i tend to listen to enigma, babylon, ROM more frequently, there's something about Replay that just feels so unassailable, like this IS the best this song could be. i occasionally think on other songs "another verse would've been good here, i wish the synths hit a little harder there", but that's not at all the case with Replay. a true 10/10 one of the gaga songs that i listen to and think "god, THIS is why i love her music" Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
