This goes to all the people that thought BTS were finally flopping after their last group song charted outside of top 10. If you thought them going on hiatus was a good thing then I have bad news for ya’ll, each of them are dropping solo albums most likely back to back... they will literally dominate the charts back to back. I see this thing in kpop where some members of a group that release solo material end up selling just as much or even more than the full group. It literally happened now with a girl from TWICE, one of the biggest kpop girl groups. She literally outsold by herself any other previous release by a group in the first week. I have no idea how this works and why, but I believe ARMY will do the same with BTS’s solo projects too. I also kinda feel like their solo work might give some of them a better shot at being taken seriously in America. Especially if they go for a mature, authentic sound, because most of them know how to make music and have in the past. So maybe their company is changing their strategy too in terms of how to establish them finally in the states.
