Teletubby 87,149
People are showing up at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art to see a marble statue of Rihanna, the music superstar and entrepreneur. There’s just one problem: It doesn’t exist. Some visitors have been fooled by an Instagram post that Vogue magazine ran during this year’s Met Gala, the annual red carpet fundraising event at the museum backed by Anna Wintour and held in May. Vogue had wanted to honor Rihanna, its May cover star, who wasn’t coming to the gala. So it hired graphic designers to whip up a digital statue and create a video in which it looked like the artwork was in the museum’s Greek and Roman statue gallery alongside Apollo, Aphrodite and other Greek gods. A security guard at the Met said she gets asked about Rihanna at least twice a week. source Reveals when?? Results when?? Do we have all the submissions?? Do we have all the votes??
