   Not SL outstreaming on day one. Maybe a longer promo lead-up period would have helped. I really don't think surprise releases mean much in terms of hype, these days.

But Yoncé doing the same, she is a flop and not winning a Grammys?

I don’t think most of us consider SL anything but a very minor hit that could have done ok without the leak and iPhone video. I know at ATRL there are 20,000  posts comparing SL and BML, but that has to be worrying for Beyoncé fans as this is her huge publicised comeback single that’s 1 on TTH. Being compared to SL and not Harry’s song or Adele’s song is not a good thing. Gaga has had much bigger hits recently than SL (even ARUTW is much bigger).
