I’ve been watching some analyses on Katy’s career lately and I think her biggest deficit has been the lack of diversity in her discography in terms of trying different genres/projects. That’s essentially what sets her apart from her peers of the same era.  As a lot of people said, coming back with a different sound and embracing the adult contemporary category might be her best bet.
