Thing is is that Sweden and Finland are part of the EU, so if Russia attacks either one, a world war will definitely happen.

 The Ukrainians are really out here doing the damn thing. Putin thought this would be quick, that it’d be easy. No matter where he goes, the Ukrainians are there to meet him. Honestly in awe of the people, the president, and the brave soldiers fighting this fight.

I am still reeling over the concept of this happening in the 21st century. The days of being afraid of Russia seemed gone after the 80's, from what I can garner from history. After the Berlin Wall came down, it signalled a shift in fascist European rule to moving towards free and peaceful societies. Honestly, as much as I'm anti-nuclear power, I feel some comfort right now in knowing that I live in a country with nuclear weapons at the moment as I doubt Russia would take on such a nation when they can give as good as they get, they'll want soft targets. It's an awful feeling of helplessness as no one quite knows what to do or is afraid to do something in case it makes matters worse. My heart especially goes out to any new babies born the day those troops came in. The feeling of first time parenthood extinguished in a blaze of brute force.

Well, technically no. But as soon as he attacks a NATO country, he has an army of over 30 countries at once against him as soon as a NATO country wants to enforce NATO article 5 . Then there'd be no excuse as to why he'd be attacked by other countries. But right now, if any country wants to intervene with military forces, Putin basically said to release Russia's nuclear missiles onto the countries. And that's what literally nobody wants (maybe Putin quietly hopes for it, wouldn't surprise me  ).
