What do you think will happen to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan. I don't think Putin is particularely interested in them. Muslim nations have much higher fertility rates than Christian ones. Putin won't want more Islamic territory because Muslim ethnic groups may eventually outnumber Russians. 1

I’m sorry but it’s not his responsibility!Ukraine is not in NATO so other countries can’t do **** rn!If they dare to do,Russia will strike and then the so-called WW3 starts! For once America is doing the right thing by NOT intervening in this situation!Putin is just waiting America to do something like this so he could release all of Russia’s military Arsenal Edited February 25, 2022 by Tinnitus15
MelbHawker 5,587
This is such a scary time in our history. My heart bleeds for the innocent who’s lives are being irreversibly destroyed in Ukraine. Putin needs to be stopped one way or another - what he’s doing is criminal & evil. This is going to get uglier & uglier.

XXEENN 727
Apparently he was also granted asylum by Britain but he declined. Now that is a leader, some other ppl 👀 would be hiding in a bunker somewhere or on a $125M yacht. 3

No Baltic states or Muslim states. He may want to form a new empire similar to URSS through backdoors deals. He may want to instal puppet governments, make the states be dependent on Russia or make take certain strips of land from them, while retaining the illusion of independence. Belarus is an independent state on paper, but it esentially is just a part of Russia, maybe Putin wants this regarding Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova too. Most other ex-Soviet apart the ones mentioned are already more or less in Russia's sphere of influence. Syria is a Middle Eastern country also indirectly controlled by Russia at the moment that was never part of URSS. Edited February 25, 2022 by FfFfFfFF 2

If that's indeed a Romanian ship, that's a worrying sign for the entire world. I agree...after Ukraine, it looks like Moldova is very vulnerable. Not to mention he already has a foothold with Transnistria... Western intelligence has been fairly accurate and some reports said Putin's current goal is Belarus (which he clearly already has)/Ukraine/Moldova.

Could stop him easily. Absolutely not. The only thing that putting American boots on the ground would do is push Putin into turning this into a full scale world war. Ukraine is not a part of NATO, they are not under the umbrella of protection from the west. That is why this is happening to begin with. If America intervenes, we will be crossing a boundary that will result in nothing but death and destruction of a much higher order. It will not be easy to defeat him. America is simply not competent enough militarily to do so. You will notice that in every war we’ve been a part of that we had no business being in (Vietnam, Korea, both trips to Afghanistan, and Iraq), we failed spectacularly and only made the place we left a bigger mess. We have not successfully neutralized any threat since WWII. Us being there would only create a massive, worldwide disaster. Yes it’s painful to sit back and watch what’s happening in the Ukraine, but it’s the only option we, and any country of the west really, have unless we’re willing to go to war. And we’re not, because it will not be an easy win, if anyone wins at all. 7
