Someone tell me I'm stupid if I'm wrong but I think Ukraine was a part of Russia in some way, either as held territory or actually part of the country, until the 90s. The Chernobyl incident happened in the 80s. đź’š Te quiero cada dĂa un poco más. le dirĂ© al mundo đź’š

The Chernobyl incident happened in the 80s. It wasn't part of Russia, but Russia, Belarus and Ukraine were all part of URSS which was basically a Russian state. But I believed it was part of the Tsardom of Russia and probably the Kievan Rus and other Slavic states before. Edited February 24, 2022 by FfFfFfFF 1

The Soviet Union sounds like it's from the 1950s but it really isn't much older than most people here. đź’š Te quiero cada dĂa un poco más. le dirĂ© al mundo đź’š

Less we forget, The USSR collapsed a few decades ago. Russia is very dependent in certain regards to regions around them- and is not immune to collapse again. FfFfFfFF 53,221
I just saw a helicopter fly by, 100% a military one.. It feels very surreal, almost like in 2020 when police cars were patrooling so we would "stay inside".

I love near a military base and the space center in Florida and I've been hearing helicopters and planes all day. đź’š Te quiero cada dĂa un poco más. le dirĂ© al mundo đź’š

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is already a symptom of its collapse and an atempt to postpone it by adding some 44M people to its sphere of incluence. There are no military bases here but judging on the direction it was heading to the North where the border is. Edited February 24, 2022 by FfFfFfFF
